Serafini believes too much focus has been put on result of Milan-Napoli

Despite playing a very good game, AC Milan’s clash against Napoli ended in a 2-1 loss and the 22-game unbeaten run in the league came to an end. The Rossoneri will have to look forward with optimism, though.

Milan were unfortunate to lose the game given the number of chances created, punished by fantastic efficiency from Napoli. It’s even more frustrating considering that the Rossoneri did so well with Rafael Leao, who has been the star this season.

Speaking on Youtube, as cited by MilanNews, MilanTV pundit Luca Serafini urged the Rossoneri fans to stay calm as the season is still very long. In fact, he believes the main focus shouldn’t be on the result of the game.

“My thoughts? The anger for the result is there, but there is also the satisfaction for how we played. The Rossoneri played against a great team, managing 22 shots despite struggling against ‘closed’ teams earlier in the season.

“This team gives us [Milan fans] certainties that don’t seem to get any attention from the outside. There remains a bitter taste in the mouth for the undeserved defeat, but there is optimism. I would certainly sign my name to lose a game every 25 games,” he stated.

Milan will take on Empoli after the international break and it will be crucial to bounce back with a strong win. It’s a shame that the unbeaten run came to an end, but the Rossoneri must regain focus in order to fight for the Scudetto.
