Shevchenko sends transfer signal to Milan: “In Italy, Belotti resembles me the most”

Milan are looking to reinforce their squad with a striker this summer as it has become clear that Zlatan Ibrahimovic can’t play every game. And in their quest for a deputy, a club legend has given them some advice.

One of the players on the Rossoneri’s radar is Andrea Belotti, whose contract with Torino will expire in 2022. A renewal seems unlikely and the Turin side could thus be forced to sell their star this summer for a reasonable price.

In an interview with Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, Milan legend Andriy Shevchenko shared his thoughts on the strikers in Serie A and who is similar to him. Based on his answer, perhaps the Rossoneri should continue pursuing Belotti.

“Since I started I have always had this attitude, I was hungry to win and to do something different from the others. In Italy, Belotti resembles me the most,” he stated.

Belotti has also been a Milan fan since he was a kid so he will surely be pleased with the words of Shevchenko. It remains to be seen if the Rossoneri will make any concrete moves to sign the striker this summer.
