Sky: Calhanoglu almost certain to miss Cagliari clash after not training

By Isak Möller -

In the 19th round of Serie A, which marks the half-way point, Milan will take on Cagliari away from home. The game is scheduled for Monday evening and Stefano Pioli will have to deal with some absences.

The likes of Matteo Gabbia and Ismael Bennacer are still recovering from injury, while Rade Krunic and Ante Rebic have COVID. Adding to that, Rafael Leao will be serving a one-game suspension and can’t feature.

As if that wasn’t enough, it looks like Hakan Calhanoglu will miss the game as well. According to Manuele Baiocchini (via MilanNews.it), speaking live on Sky Italia, the No.10 is 99% certain to be excluded from the squad list for the away trip.

He didn’t take part in today’s training session, just like yesterday, and it remains to be seen what his condition is like. On a positive note, Theo Hernandez did train with his teammates today and will be available for the game.
