Sky: Cristiano Ronaldo likely to miss Juventus vs. Milan due to mother’s illness

By Oliver Fisher -

Cristiano Ronaldo is likely to miss Wednesday night’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg between Juventus and Milan due to his mother’s ill health, a report claims.

According to the latest from Sky Italia (via MilanLive), the Portuguese star immediately left to visit his mother after learning of her illness after she was taken to hospital in an emergency.

It is claimed that she is in a stable condition and therefore there are no immediate huge concerns, but the striker obviously left straight after hearing the news.

It is however a trip that most likely mean that Ronaldo will not take to the field on Wednesday night in Juve’s Coppa Italia semi-final second leg against Milan at the Allianz Stadium.

He of course converted from the spot late in the first leg to bag the Bianconeri a crucial away goal following a controversial penalty call against Davide Calabria.

Milan of course are without Theo Hernandez, Samu Castillejo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic through suspension.
