Patrick Cutrone sustained an injury for Italy’s U21 team in yesterday’s friendly match against Albania and it is nothing serious. However, the young striker is still expected to miss Milan’s next Serie A match in Cagliari.
According to Sky Italia, Cutrone suffered an ankle sprain with serious injuries being excluded in initial tests.
The striker will be constantly monitored in the next days, but his trip to Cagliari is practically ruled out. He will be treated cautiously and it will take a couple of days until he reenters group training.
Cutrone started off the season as a backup for Gonzalo Higuain, but has already contributed to the team’s success. In Milan’s last match at home against Roma, the striker scored the winning goal in the final minute of the match and sealed the team’s first win of the season after a negative start in Naples.
