Sky: Ibrahimovic already a free agent – he could join Milan before January

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has already been released from his contract with LA Galaxy meaning he is free to sign with another team, a report claims.

According to Sky Italia – as cited by MilanNews.it – Ibrahimovic’s contract with the Galaxy was set to expire on December 31.

However, they report that he has in fact already been freed from that deal, making him a free agent and therefore able to sign with any team.

The Swede is Milan’s main target for the January transfer window, with the club’s owners Elliott Management desperate to fix both the goalscoring and leadership issues in one swoop.

TMW’s Enzo Bucchioni (via MilanNews.it) stated earlier on Friday that he believes there will be a final agreement reached between Ibrahimovic and Milan next week.

The Diavolo have scored just 13 goals in the first 14 rounds of the season and are in dire need of both a goalscorer and a leader.
