Sky: Ibrahimovic leaves Milano again and flies back to Sweden – when he will return

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has gone back to his home country Sweden and will spend the rest of the week there, it is claimed.

The Swede sustained an injury in training at Milanello on Monday morning and there were fears regarding damage to his Achilles tendon, but it was confirmed by the club earlier on Tuesday that he has avoided such a problem and that he will undergo further tests in 10 days.

The 38-year-old was present for physio at Milanello on Tuesday, but according to the latest from Sky Italia the forward has left Milano and will return to Sweden – most likely to be with his family.

Ibrahimovic will return next week when further tests on his calf injury are scheduled for June 5.

Wednesday’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Ibrahimovic will be out for around a month. There were worries that he would miss a large chunk of the remainder of the season or possibly all of it, but his recovery should be done within four weeks, five at the most.
