Sky: Ibrahimovic will not go to Hammarby – what his social media post likely means

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will not be moving to Hammarby as his next club despite the storm he has created on social media, a report claims.

It is seemingly no secret that the 38-year-old is Milan’s main target for the January transfer window, with the club’s owners Elliott Management having ceded and agreed to bring in some more experience.

However, a shock arrived on Tuesday morning when the former PSG and Manchester United man posted a video on social media with his name on the back of a Hammarby shirt, causing the media to speculate that he will be moving to the Stockholm club.

The club themselves then offered comment on the post in newspaper Svenska Dagbladet through communications director Love Gustafsson, teasing that more announcements will come during the week.

According to Sky Italia however – as cited by MilanNews.it – those announcements will not be a return to Sweden for Zlatan as a player.

Instead, it is likely that the video is an indication of commercial relations between the Swedish club and the Ibrahimovic family in the near future.

The report continues by adding that the Rossoneri leaders have presented a very specific offer to the player (€6m total for 18 months) and are waiting for a response over the next few weeks.
