Milan are currently gearing up to take on Lazio away from home, following what was a disappointing 1-2 loss at Sassuolo. Squandering a 1-0 lead, the Rossoneri certainly need to up their game in the next few games.
Stefano Pioli’s side have several teams behind them ready to take advantage of the recent slump, although they got lucky in the mid-week round. Napoli might have won, but Atalanta drew and so did Inter.
Either way, it’s clear some energy is needed to turn this around. According to Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, two key Lazio players could miss the game on Monday: Luis Alberto and Lucas Leiva.
They aren’t at 100% and Simone Inzaghi doesn’t want to take any risks in such a crucial phase of the season. Therefore, they could be on the bench on Monday evening and that is a boost for Milan, especially Alberto’s absence.
