Sky: Key trio undergo additional training at Milanello – Pioli wants them fit to face Man Utd

Three players have done additional training this afternoon to try and be fit for tomorrow’s return leg against Manchester United, a report claims.

Head coach Stefano Pioli has already confirmed that key duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Ismael Bennacer are back and ready for the game, with the tie beautifully poised after the first leg was a 1-1 draw at Old Trafford.

According to what reported by Peppe Di Stefano has told Sky (via MilanNews), Rebic, Leao and Calabria stayed at Milanello for an additional training session this afternoon. Pioli’s goal is to use every minute to try and recover them – especially the two forwards – for tomorrow night.

The boss already said in his press conference that tomorrow morning’s final session will be essential to understand if they can be part of the match against United. If Rebic or Leao were to come back that would be a big hand, as Ibrahimovic is returning but does not have 90 minutes in his legs. If either the Croatian or the Portuguese to recover, they would start.
