Ivan Gazidis, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara had a discussion with head coach Stefano Pioli following Friday’s training session at Milanello.
The CEO was accompanied by the technical and sporting directors and watched on from the sidelines as Pioli’s side continued their preparations for Monday’s trip to Lecce.
According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), the trio watched the team training and then there was a discussion with the head coach at the end of the session.
It is most likely that the talk was regarding the squad’s state of health and the resumption of the Serie A season, reiterating that the goal is to qualify for the next Europa League.
Ralf Rangnick’s shadow looms over everyone of course, amid intense speculation he will become the next manager of the Rossoneri.
It cannot be excluded that Gazidis, Maldini and Massara tried to reassure the coach on this front, pushing him to give his best to the end.
