Sky: Milan could welcome two new midfielders this summer after agreeing personal terms

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are moving closer towards the signing of Tiemoue Bakayoko but it would not rule out another midfielder arriving, a report claims.

Marco Demicheli spoke on Sky (via MilanNews) and confirmed that Milan want to sign at least one new midfielder, but it cannot be ruled out that two arrive before August 31. Today there was a positive meeting with Tiemoue Bakayoko’s entourage and the Rossoneri are close to an agreement in principle with the player.

Bakayoko would be more than happy to return to Milan, but there is still no agreement with Chelsea and the parties must work on this front. Then, there is always the name of Yacine Adli of Bordeaux and the signing of Bakayoko does not exclude the arrival of his compatriot.

Considering the Africa Cup of Nations in January during which Kessie and Bennacer will be absent, quality midfield depth is needed. There is an agreement in principle with Adli’s entourage, but not one with Bordeaux who are asking for more than €10m while Milan want to spent €8-9m.

we need a replacement after we sell Kessie
I’d hate him to leave, but something is definitely cooking and I don’t like the smell of it
