Sky: Milan in crisis with Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez set to miss Cagliari

By Oliver Fisher -

Although there was optimism that Milan would have key players back for Monday’s game, the team risk going into crisis once again.

Milan will make the trip to face Cagliari knowing they need just one win from their next two games to ensure they are top of the pile at the midway stage of the season, and with Zlatan Ibrahimovic back in the fold there was optimism that Pioli’s squad is slowly getting back to full health.

According to what Sky are reporting (via MilanNews), Milan look like they may have an emergency in Sardinia as well. Rafael Leao will not be there as he is suspended, while Alexis Saelemaekers is not yet fully fit and will unlikely be able to recover.

It gets even worse though, as Hakan Calhanoglu and Theo Hernandez have not trained today and therefore are in doubt for the trip to Sardinia. Not even Ismael Bennacer and Matteo Gabbia will be available.
