Sky: Milan looking to secure triple raid on Chelsea but alternative targets are ready

By Oliver Fisher -

The market axis between AC Milan and Chelsea appears to be red hot as the Rossoneri are interested in three players, according to a report.

Luca Marchetti gave an update on Milan’s market during a segment for Sky Italia (via MilanNews), beginning by confirming that Olivier Giroud is the target Milan have been after longest. There is a general agreement with the player on the basis of a €3.5m net per year contract, and after the Euros his entourage are expected to push with Chelsea to let him leave for free.

The other name Milan like is a familiar one in Tiemoue Bakayoko, who has already been at the club and who would be Soualiho Meite’s replacement. He could be the safest bet, because the management know the Frenchman’s qualities.

Finally, there is Hakim Ziyech who is topping the list of players who could replace Hakan Calhanoglu. Milan’s strategy is to go and see what opportunities arise from other European clubs like Rafinha of PSG, Cengiz Under of Roma and James Rodriguez of Everton.
