Sky: Milan seriously thinking about Tonali and could make big investment for the project

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are beginning to think more and more seriously about launching a concrete effort to land Sandro Tonali, it is claimed.

Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews) reported earlier in the week that Milan have returned to the idea of trying to sign Tonali in recent days, taking advantage of the fact that Inter have not yet closed a deal.

He even stated that the Rossoneri management presented an official offer to Cellino of a paid loan with the option to buy which was rejected, while on Wednesday night Di Marzio insisted Tonali could arrive in addition to Bakayoko.

According to the latest from Sky Italia’s Peppe Di Stefano (via MilanNews), Milan are ‘really starting to think about Tonali seriously’ and began contacts two weeks ago.

Inter have more financial resources available but their pursuit was stalled by the Europa League final and what happened with Antonio Conte.

Milan are lurking and are trying to understand the type of formulas and figures that would be involved, as Tonali would be a coup that gives great confidence in the club’s project.

The management are seriously thinking about it, but if Inter tomorrow present a €35million offer then the he would move there.

Luca Marchetti echoes the sentiments of his colleague, stating that Milan like the player with Inter having not spoken to Brescia about a deal.

The fact that Milan are now concentrating on loan deals like Bakayoko could be an indication that the club want to invest on Tonali.
