Sky: Milan’s probable XI for Crotone clash – Meite over Bennacer; two changes

By Isak Möller -

Milan are gearing up to take on Crotone tomorrow afternoon, following the 2-1 win at Bologna last weekend. As Inter managed to beat Fiorentina last night, it’s a must-win for the Rossoneri.

This morning, several reports (including Gazzetta) suggested that Ismael Bennacer would be back from start tomorrow, having recovered from his injury. However, Sky Italia (via MilanNews) are now reporting a different starting XI.

There will still be two changes, per the outlet, but Stefano Pioli has opted for Souliaho Meite alongside Franck Kessie in the midfield tandem. In other words, Bennacer will be on the bench and could perhaps get some minutes in the second half.

Rafael Leao, as was reported by Gazzetta and now confirmed by Sky, is still the favourite ahead of Ante Rebic for the left-wing position. It remains to be seen if Meite actually will start, as it’s a decision that perhaps will surprise some fans.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Tomori, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Meite, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Calhanoglu, Leao; Ibrahimovic.
