Sky: Milan’s probable XI for Parma clash – Castillejo set for starting spot

By Isak Möller -

On the eve of Milan-Parma, there have been some mixed reports about the starting eleven that Stefano Pioli will field. After testing some youngsters and outcasts mid-week, it was to be expected.

According to the latest report from Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), Samu Castillejo is the favourite to start on the right flank tomorrow. In the run-off with the Spaniard, though, we find Jens Petter Hauge and not Alexis Saelemaekers.

Castillejo got on the scoresheet against Sampdoria, just seconds after coming on, and Hauge scored the winner against Sparta Praha. In any case, the manager is showing that the eleven is far from fixed, as long as there are competitors.

Brahim Diaz wasn’t very good against Sampdoria and will be hoping to redeem himself, perhaps by setting up Ante Rebic for his first goal of the season. Down below is the expected starting eleven in full.

Milan (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Gabbia, Romagnoli, Hernández; Kessie, Bennacer; Castillejo, Brahim Diaz, Calhanoglu; Rebic.

  1. I knew that it would be a problem when he started scoring, all tap ins mind you. Now from sitting on the bench where he belongs he is starting every game.
