Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan is coming along well off the pitch, though it remains to be seen how they will manage on it. Ahead of Sunday’s encounter with Lecce at San Siro, the manager has decided to make a big change to the usual program.
As reported by Sky Italia this evening, Pioli has decided to scrap the pre-match ritiro, which certainly is a different approach. In the past, it has been a given, though the former Fiorentina manager believes that they will be better off without it.
As a result of this, per the report, players will be able to leave the training ground on the eve of a game to sleep at home with their families (unless it’s an away game). However, there will still be the usual team dinner after the training session.
Of course, the players will have the option to stay at Milanello, as long as they are at Pioli’s disposal during the team breakfast in the morning. The game against Lecce will be crucial to understand the Rossoneri’s progress under the new manager.
