Sky: Pioli thinks of starting Rebic vs. Lecce; Leao or Piatek to be dropped

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is considering making a couple of changes to his front three for the game against Lecce, a report claims.

Sunday’s fixture at San Siro will be Pioli’s first in charge of the Rossoneri after he took over from Marco Giampaolo who was sacked last week.

Most outlets predict that the former Lazio, Inter and Fiorentina boss will use a 4-3-3 system with Krzysztof Piatek as a centre-forward plus Suso and either Ante Rebic or Rafael Leao either side.

According to Sky Italia though – as cited by MilanNews.it – Pioli is thinking of deploying Rebic on the left wing for this weekend’s game in what would be his first start for the club.

This would mean that Leao would enter into battle with Piatek for a place as a central striker in 4-3-3.
