Sky: Probable Milan XI to face Fiorentina – one doubt in attack for Pioli to resolve

By Oliver Fisher -

There is still a doubt for Stefano Pioli to resolve regarding the starting line-up that will take to the field against Fiorentina tomorrow night, a report claims.

It is no doubt a huge game for the Rossoneri after the international break as they look to take advantage of the game between Inter and Napoli to either go outright top of the table or pad the gap to their city rivals.

Manuele Baiocchini of Sky (via MilanLive) spoke about the game and he discussed the starting XI that Milan should field. Tatarusanu will still be between the posts, with Kalulu replacing Calabria on the right, Theo Hernandez at left-back, plus Fikayo Tomori and Alessio Romagnoli as centre-backs.

In midfield Kessie is favoured over Bennacer to start alongside Tonali, while Saelemaekers should be on the right and Rafael Leao on the left due to Rebic’s injury. Brahim Diaz should start from the first minute in the role of attacking midfielder.

There is a doubt regarding whether Ibrahimovic or Giroud should get the nod against La Viola. The Frenchman is slightly ahead of the Swede, who in turn seems destined to play in the midweek Champions League match against Atletico Madrid.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Tatarusanu; Kalulu, Tomori, Romagnoli, Theo; Tonali, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Brahim, Leao; Giroud (Ibrahimovic).
