Sky: Probable Milan XI for Juventus encounter – Diaz to start as Pioli switches things up

By Isak Möller -

Milan will take on Juventus tomorrow evening and given how tight the Champions League race is, both sides will be looking for a good result tomorrow. With two strong XIs available, it should be a good game.

Of course, since the Rossoneri are at risk of missing out of the Champions League, it will be a nerve-racking game for the fans. A good result is needed to avoid Napoli leapfrogging them, but it’s far from easy at the Allianz Stadium.

In addition to Davide Calabria and Simon Kjaer returning to the XI, as reported by Sky Italia (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli will field Brahim Diaz in the attacking trio. Reports on this emerged yesterday and confirmations have now arrived.

Pioli will speak at his usual press conference at 14:30 CEST and perhaps some more light will be shed on the decision. He can’t say too much, though, with the risk of giving away his tactics.

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Calabria, Kjaer, Tomori, Hernandez; Bennacer, Kessie; Saelemaekers, Diaz, Calhanoglu; Ibrahimovic

  1. Donnarumma; Dalot, Kjaer, Romanjoli, Hernandez; Tonali, Kessie; Leao, Rebic, Calhanoglu; Ibrahimovic
Of course I would do this on the field, Why Leao? Well because I think Leao would be more dangerous and put more pressure on Juventus winger. Of course, on the other hand, Rebic would be more dangerous and function better with Ibrahimovic. Tonali is in better shape than Benaser. Romagnoli is more experienced though and the captain should get a chance to prove it. Dalot is far in better shape than Calabrie and more reliable for the shade, but somehow the defense with Dalot is somehow safer
