Sky: Race against time for Milan to have Tomori available vs. Atalanta – the latest

Milan have made two signings this transfer window and are closing in on their third, set to secure Fikayo Tomori on loan from Chelsea. The deal is practically done, as we have told you, but there are some slight delays.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio (via MilanNews), speaking live on Sky Italia this evening, it’s a race against time for the Rossoneri to have the defender available against Atalanta. He could arrive in Italy tomorrow, by the looks of it.

The goal is to have Tomori undergo his medical on Friday, which would allow him to make at least one training with the team before the game. The clubs are still talking about the buy-out option, but nevertheless Milan will conclude the operation.

It remains to be seen if the centre-back will make it in time for Saturday’s clash, which will be very important for Stefano Pioli’s side. After the win against Cagliari, they have a three-point lead at the top of the standings.
