Sky: Sigh of relief for Milan as Ibrahimovic needs just three weeks to recover

Zlatan Ibrahimovic was forced to leave the game against Juventus with an injury, suffering from problems with his knee. Fortunately, it appears the injury isn’t as serious as first thought, a report claims.

According to Peppe Di Stefano of Sky Italia, as cited by MilanNews, the 39-year-old underwent a few tests with the doctor that took care of his injury back in 2017. The results were positive, ruling out problems with the cruciate ligament.

Ibrahimovic is having issues with his cartilage but he will be able to recover in three weeks, which means that he should be able to feature for Sweden at the Euros. Positive news for Sweden but also Milan as they feared a serious injury.

Having said that, the Rossoneri will be without their star for the rest of the season and although it’s a blow, Ante Rebic has done well in his absence. The Croatian has four goals in his last two games in the centre-forward role.
