Sky: Gordon Singer will be at San Siro tonight to watch Inter vs. Milan

By Isak Möller -

Tonight’s clash between AC Milan and Inter, also known as the Derby Della Madonnina, is a very important game. The Rossoneri need to at least get a draw and to support them, the ownership will be present at San Siro.

Gordon Singer, the son of Paul Singer who owns Elliott Management, has been present quite a few times lately but it’s certainly doesn’t happen every game. According to Sky Italia (via MilanNews), though, he will be present tonight.

As said, it’s a very important game for the Rossoneri and it makes sense to have at least one representative from the higher hierarchy present. With a win, the gap to Inter (who have a game in hand) would shrink to just one point.

With a loss, however, the Nerazzurri would move seven points clear and that is indeed the worst-case scenario for Milan. The derby is always important on its own, but the current standings make for a fantastic game.

  1. Elliott Management is the name of the U.S. hedge fund that owns A.C. Milan. Singer is the son of the current head of Elliot Management. They buy low and sell high, their interest in the Rossoneri is purely financial. They could care less about about the fans, the tradition, the Scudetto, money money money. Guy doesn’t know jack shit about A.C. not to mention football.
