Sky: Theo Hernandez ran 84 meters before scoring rocket against Lazio

By Isak Möller -

Theo Hernandez was one of the protagonists for AC Milan in their 2-0 win against Lazio earlier today, scoring yet another solo goal. Indeed, the left-back covered a lot of distance before striking the ball.

Milan took the lead after just 17 minutes through Ismael Bennacer, who pressed high along with Olivier Giroud who won the ball. Ten minutes later, Hernandez took matters into his own hands and scored another Theo-esque solo goal.

He received the ball from Maignan in Milan’s half and then ran with the ball all the way to the edge of Lazio’s penalty box, where he fired an absolute rocket past the goalkeeper. As reported by Sky (via MilanNews), he ran 84.65 meters and touched the ball eight times.

Rafael Leao was subbed off due to an injury and even though it wasn’t anything serious, it’s good for Milan to know that Hernandez can step up in the winger’s absence. Hopefully, both of them will start against Inter on Wednesday.

  1. What makes it even better, they gave Maignan the assist.
Wonder what’s the actual speed he reached.
They should organize a race between Theo, Rashford, Alphonso Davies and Mbappe. Probably there are few other speedsters that I’m missing but those 4 are definitely up there speed wise

  2. This is the same freedom he enjoys with Deschamps on the French Nat’l team, and when he makes his runs he transitions to the center of the pitch allowing the wingers to be unmarked. What a player !!
