Sky: What AC Milan must do to land big name striker

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan must sell one more player in addition to Diego Laxalt in order to land the big-name forward they desire, a journalist has claimed.

The Rossoneri leadership are seemingly keen to give Marco Giampaolo one more goalscoring option before the season starts.

Angel Correa of Atletico Madrid is widely reported to be the primary target, but the distance between offer and valuation is making it a tricky situation.

Meanwhile, recent reports have linked Milan with a loan move for Luka Jovic, who might not be in Zinedine Zidane’s immediate plans, despite having arrived at the Bernabeu in a €60m deal earlier this window.

Luca Marchetti, a journalist for Sky Italia, has given an update on the current mercato situation and how Milan could get the forward they want.

“Milan are technically in place but would like to further improve the team,” he said.

“To do this they must sell, and in addition to Laxalt – who could go to Atalanta on loan with obligation to buy – the sale of Andre Silva could shift the balance economically.

“Another option, but one that Milan no longer takes it into consideration, would be [to sell] Suso.”
