Rafael Leao could miss out on the game between AC Milan and Inter this Wednesday due to a minor muscle injury. Today, the Portuguese winger worked in the gym, as stated by the latest reports from Milanello.
The Milan star left the game against Lazio after just 11 minutes and tests the following day revealed a slight muscle strain. It’s nothing serious but given that the first leg against Inter is only two days away, he could miss out.
According to our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, Leao worked in the gym today and not on the pitch with his teammates. He will be assessed day to day and a final decision will be taken on Wednesday morning.
As things stand, he might make the bench but Milan will not risk him if he isn’t 100% fit, given that the return leg will take place just six days later. Alexis Saelemaekers is thus poised to start on the left flank on Wednesday.
