Taison has asked to leave current club Shakhtar Donetsk in order to secure a deadline day move to Milan, we can reveal.
The Rossoneri look set to get at least one deal over the line on the final day of the transfer window, with Ante Rebic in Milano ready to undergo a medical with the club.
Our mercato expert Vito Angele told us on Sunday that the deal for Rebic has been completely closed and that Andre Silva would be heading the other way in a swap.
However, it may be that Milan are not done just yet, as Angele also informed us that another purchase could be on the cards: namely Taison or Angel Correa.
TMW claimed on Monday that a new bid of €20m has been submitted by Milan for Taison and that the player is pushing for a move.
Indeed, Angele has now told us that Taison is the main target at the moment, and that he has asked to leave Shakhtar in order to push through a move to the Rossoneri.
New updates on the pursuit will no doubt follow shortly.
