SM: Sassuolo game likely to be a Milan farewell for five players – the names

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan face Sassuolo this evening at the Mapei Stadium with the Scudetto on the line and there are four players who know it will potentially be a grand farewell.

Our colleagues at SempreMilan.it write how this will be the most important match of the career of almost all the players who will be called into question by head coach Stefano Pioli. The squad have a chance to do something not many thought was possible at the start of the season, but it will not be easy against a tricky opponent.

The game will also be the last match at Milan for several players. First of all there is Franck Kessie who is heading to Barcelona, but the Ivorian will be joined by Tiemouè Bakayoko (who should have his loan terminated early), Samu Castillejo (who should be sold) and Junior Messias (unlikely to be bought permanently).

In all likelihood, Alessio Romagnoli can be added to that list as his contract is expiring at the end of the season he seems ever closer to joining Lazio.

  1. I would keep Messias and try to capitalize on Saladmaker.

Diaz is a big question and so is Krunic.

Krunic has done well the past month but with Adli, Pobega and probably Renato coming in his space will be limited and he has already talked about more playing time. Add another AM and starting RW will come too.
