Good turnout at San Siro as Milan put pressure on Scudetto rivals – the figures

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan certainly had the support of their fans in the game against Empoli last night as the stadium was very packed. And it made the club a good chunk of money as well, which is always a bonus.

Pierre Kalulu was the only goalscorer for the Rossoneri last night and he was thus the big hero for the team. Milan are now five points clear at the top and it remains to be seen if that will stand, as Inter and Napoli will play today.

As provided by the club after the 1-0 win, relayed by our colleagues at SempreMilan.it, there were 48.801 fans at San Siro to watch the game. The capacity is currently is 75% and that means Milan can host around 59k fans. It was a decent number for a Saturday game, and against a bottom-half side.

The total income was €922k and the Rossoneri gave the fans just what they wanted: three points to celebrate. After all, the only thing that matters at this stage of the season is claiming the three points.
