I feel like the our biggest problem is the lack of good squad depth. The first team is good but once the injuries, covid and discipline cards start to increase, the good quality backups are not there. This season we have been lacking from: no good backup for Theo, no actual backup for Brahim which is very strange that it is left like this. and finally no capable third striker, which would be okay if Ibra and Giroud would always be available but that is understandably not the case, when one is injured we are stuck with the other one or Rebic as a false nine. Rebic has though actually worked okay from there :Þ . Inter has for example always been able to field a good squad and the bench is always full of quality replacements (Their finances are though fu**** :Þ ). This is what I believe is the difference between us and them today.
Messias or Rebic as a CAM is it not realistic? Just wonderign if we truly dont have another CAM other than Brahim (or Kessie)
I could see Rebic there, good with both feet, can turn on a dime, and strong with hi back to goal. These guys are professionals, designated as a winger or some other specific position is overstated, we play Theo at left back but he plays cam at the French Nat’l team. Hell yeah put Rebic there, could not be any worse than Diaz
