Source claims ‘Arnault, Braida, Maldini and Boban’ will be ‘the future of Milan’

By Oliver Fisher -

Louis Vuitton owner Bernard Arnault already has his staff line-up in mind if he completes a takeover of AC Milan, according to one journalist.

Arnault has been constantly linked with a takeover of the Rossoneri by the Italian press over the last few months, but speculation has gathered pace in recent weeks.

La Repubblica reported on December 27 that Arnault has tabled a €975m bid to buy Milan and is awaiting a response to his offer, while the same outlet then claimed on Monday that talks are ‘at a crucial stage’.

They added that Elliott co-owner Gordon Singer was in Milano to discuss the potential takeover with Arnault and the Louis Vuitton group, while former player and current agent Massimo Brambati then named the line up at management level that the Frenchman wants.

According to Louis Girardi on Twitter, the future of Milan will be built around four key figures.

The first is Arnault, who will take over the club and look to put the right people and structure in place at the club.

One of those is Ariedo Braida, who was Milan’s sporting director from 2001-2014 before he moved on to Barcelona, and Girardi suggests that he would be welcomed back.

Meanwhile, Paolo Maldini and Zvonomir Boban would have their positions as directors confirmed.

Girardi’s tweet reads: “Arnault, Braida, Maldini and Boban. It seems that this is the future of Milan.”
