Source claims Man Utd have slashed midfielder’s price to €28m amid AC Milan, Inter links

Manchester United have set their demands for attacking midfielder Jesse Lingard amid speculation linking him with a move to AC Milan, a source claims.

Alessandro Jacobone of Sportitalia was the first to report last week that agent Mino Raiola has offered Lingard to the Rossoneri, with the England international struggling for game time under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Then, the Transfer Window Podcast – which features journalist Duncan Castles – stated earlier on Monday that the 27-year-old Lingard has indeed been offered to the Rossoneri through Raiola, but Roma, Inter and Napoli have been given the chance to sign him too too.

The Mirror did state that United value Lingard at £40m (around €45m) amid reports he will be used as a counterpart in a bid for Leicester City midfielder James Maddison.

According to transfer source Louis Girardi on Twitter though, United’s asking price is in fact just a fraction of that. He believes that the Red Devils would accept a bid in the region of €28million (£25m) to get the playmaker off their books after a disastrous 2019.
