Romano: Spurs links not a concern as crucial star ‘will stay at Milan’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan do not need to worry about losing goalkeeper Mike Maignan despite interest from Spurs, according to a report.

It was reported by journalist Ben Jacobs yesterday – who did a ‘takeover’ as part of Fabrizio Romano’s column for CaughtOffside – that Spurs are looking to replace Hugo Lloris this summer and that Maignan’s performance against them in the Champions League had not gone unnoticed.

According to Fabrizio Romano’s latest update in his column for CaughtOffside, Maignan ‘will stay at Milan’ despite the reports that he has emerged as a goalkeeper target for Tottenham, who have ‘other players on their radar’ as well as the Frenchman that they will now be forced to turn to.

It comes after the report earlier in the week from Pietro Mazzara who wrote about Maignan in his weekly column for MilanNews and mentioned that Milan directors Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are thinking of extending his deal.
