Swedish starlet responds to Milan and Juventus links: “I don’t think about it”

By Isak Möller -

Milan have signed Soualiho Meite, Mario Mandzukic and Fikayo Tomori this transfer window but are already thinking about the summer. Among many others, Mattias Svanberg is one of the players on their radar.

The Swedish midfield starlet, who plays for Bologna, has attracted the interest of the Rossoneri directors. As Gianluca Di Marzio reported last week (via MilanNews), they have initiated contacts with his agent and the Rossoblu management.

Svanberg, who has scored two goals and assisted an additional one this season, has made four appearances for the Swedish national team and is believed to have a bright future. Ever since he joined Bologna from Malmö in 2018, he has continued to improve.

Speaking to DAZN (via Calciomercato) ahead of today’s game against Juventus, he was asked about the interest of Milan and the Bianconeri. He didn’t give much away, as you would expect, but he didn’t deny the rumours either.

“I don’t think about it, I’m at Bologna and I’m playing at Bologna, I’m just thinking about this,” he stated.
