AC Milan defender Theo Hernandez was spotted catching up with Paolo Maldini in Milano yesterday afternoon, a report claims.
Maldini was the one who brought Theo to Milan during the 2019 summer transfer window when he was working as a director, and the French left-back has always spoken very highly of the former captain, calling him his idol on several occasions.
According to Stefano Turati of TeleLombardia – and as shown in the video below – Theo and Maldini ‘had a long coffee together’ on Monday afternoon somewhere in the city centre. The pair could be seen smiling.
Of course it is entirely possible that it was a simple catch-up between friends and former colleagues, but it will certainly provoke speculation about a deeper meaning given Theo’s struggles for form this season and doubts about his future.

“…but it will certainly provoke speculation about a deeper meaning”.
No. No it won’t. Two good friends, where one idolises the other and was his mentor. So chill with this cheap ragebait articles.
But I do hope Maldini gave him some words of wisdom and encouragement.
Remember when a 27 year old Maldini needed advice and motivation to perform at a certain level…oh wait, that never happened. He always performed at a high level.
Not everyone is or can be a Maldini.
You always find the most stupid take on any topic. Congratulations 😂😂
Theo is definitely not Maldini. But hey, you can continue with your d*mb take.
Precisely why Theo need to seek Maldini for advice.
Maldini will give Theo some advice about renew or leave this summer… Everybody at Milan seem miss someone like Maldini.
Advice to regain his form.
It’s clear Theo missed Maldini a lot. Well not just Theo but the rest of players from Maldini-Pioli era.
Say what you will. Interpret this the way you want. One thing is certain. There’s such a thing as friendship and loyalty. The media is probably going to latch on to try and make something out of it, but it’s up to management to handle it.
If they try to make a mountain out of a molehill out of their crass ineptitude, buffoonery and insecurity by forbidden such meetings in the future or imposing a sanction or some punishment or penalty, then they’ve lost it.
