TMW: AC Milan in talks with Chelsea manager Sarri

By Madison Derian-Toth -

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, AC Milan have been in contact with the current Chelsea and former Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri, as the team isn’t performing under Gattuso.

There have been a lot of rumours about Gennaro Gattuso’s position the past couple weeks, and last night’s loss to Lazio in the Coppa Italia semi-final has sparked the exit claims.

The most recent name to hit the media as a potential replacement for as Milan is Chelsea’s Maurizio Sarri. The Italian manager has been struggling with the Blues recently after having three great seasons at Napoli.

However, Antonio Conte remains the primary target for the Rossoneri, though his wage demands of €10m per year could be too much. Sarri, who earns half of that, represents a more cost-effective solution. In fact, Milan have been in contact with the manager in recent days to present an offer.
