TMW: De Ketelaere and his entourage will define Atalanta transfer today

By Isak Möller -

Charles De Ketelaere has accepted the move to Atalanta on an initial loan deal but there are still some details to figure out. Therefore, the Belgian will meet with his entourage today, expected to complete the matter.

Milan and Atalanta already have an agreement for a €3m paid loan, a €23m buy-out option and a 10% resale clause. The Bergamo side will also cover De Ketelaere’s entire salary this season, which is an important detail.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, De Ketelaere has said yes to Atalanta and will meet with his agents today to define the final details. The question marks relate to the salary he will have in the event of a permanent move, but there are no foreseen issues.

The Belgian is expected to get a similar salary with the Bergamo side and the transfer should thus just be a matter of formalities. In the meantime, he continues to train with Milan and will likely be present for tonight’s clash against Monza.

  1. To my eyes this is primarily a good deal for Atalanta and secondarily for ACM.
If CDK performs we loose him for good, if not we keep him…
I hope at least there is a buy-back clause as CDK may well shine in Atalanta, leaving ACM to regret selling him too soon.
The kid has qualities and ACM should put a bit more faith on him; especially as most/ all of our current stars/ key players never performed during their first year.
Just saying, despite it looks like the decision to permanently offload him has been made.
