TMW: €50m Arsenal man among targets for Milan; Ibrahimovic, Demiral and Kean updates

By Oliver Fisher -

A number of players are on Milan’s radar for the January window including Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Granit Xhaka and Merih Demiral, a journalist has claimed.

Milan are expected to be active in the upcoming winter window having amassed just four wins in their opening 12 games, losing seven of them and undergoing a change in head coach in the process.

According to TMW’s Niccolo Ceccarini (via MilanNews.it), a number of different players are on the Rossoneri’s radar, however there are no talks with Zlatan Ibrahimovic at present.

The Swede is described as being in no hurry to decide and will make his decision just before Christmas, with Bologna the only club in Italy negotiating with him at present.

Milan are interested but have not opened talks yet, though they could offload Franck Kessie, Ricardo Rodriguez and Fabio Borini in order to help fund an 18-month deal for Zlatan.

Milan are also looking at midfield reinforcements, Ceccarini continues, with Granit Xhaka from Arsenal being an option due to his relationship with current Rossoneri CEO Ivan Gazidis. He cost the Gunners €50m when he joined from Monchengladbach (as per the Telegraph).

Another option would be Kevin Strootman, who Marseille could allow to leave on loan with option to buy.

Looking at the defence, Juve’s Merih Demiral is the main target as he was in the summer, but an attempt for team-mate Daniele Rugani cannot be ruled out.

Finally, the Moise Kean idea ‘must also be taken into consideration’, the report concludes.
