Fiorentina are serious about their attempts to land AC Milan midfielder Lucas Paqueta this summer, according to a report from TMW.
The outlet claims that the Brazil international will leave Milan in the upcoming transfer window having joined just last January from Flamengo for a fee believed to be around €40m.
Paris Saint-Germain showed a strong interest in January, but the amount offered by Leonardo – €20million – was not taken into consideration by the Rossoneri management because it would have led to a loss on the balance sheet.
La Viola instead seem intent to find a solution that does not seem impossible, as Paqueta currently weighs €24million on Milan’s books due to amortisation.
Despite the fact that they will likely raise money from the sale of Federico Chiesa, it seems unlikely Fiorentina will pay €24m cash for Paqueta.
Milan asked for playmaker Gaetano Castrovilli as a counterpart in the deal during the first round of negotiations with Fiorentina, while there could be a discussion involving goalkeeper Bartomiej Dragowski, a profile that the Rossoneri really like and who could replace Gianluigi Donnarumma.
