TMW: Milan could challenge city rivals Inter in race for young Schalke defender

By Isak Möller -

It’s not exactly a secret that Milan are looking to reinforce the defence this transfer window, monitoring the situation of several players. Although they have continued to win, the games have confirmed they need a centre-back.

According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Ozan Kabak has reappeared on Milan’s radar. The Rossoneri followed the defender when he was at Stuttgart, but were beaten by Schalke 04 in the race. Now the 20-year-old is once again a potential target for the club.

Contacts are already in progress between the parties and as was confirmed by the interest in Jens Petter Hauge, the youth project continues. In addition to Milan, city rivals Inter are also interested in the defender.

However, the distance between demand and offer is substantial for the time being. At this point, it’s tough to predict whether Milan will move ahead with Kabak, seeing as they have been linked with so many centre-backs this transfer window.
