AC Milan are evaluating their strategy for the summer mercato and one of the hot topics is the future of Brahim Diaz. As Real Madrid seemingly want him back, the Rossoneri could move for another Bernabeu man.
Brahim Diaz has been at the club since the summer of 2020 and his loan will expire at the end of the season. According to Niccolo Ceccarini of TMW, Milan are expected to sit down with Real Madrid but the situation is ‘not easy’.
Milan have made it clear that they want to keep the playmaker, but only for the right price. Should the signing be out of reach, then the Rossoneri could make a move for another Real Madrid man: Marco Asensio.
Asensio’s contract will expire in the summer and he’s expected to leave the Spanish side. Milan have been linked with him in the past as well and Paolo Maldini could try to work his magic. However, it won’t be easy given the competition and the high salary.
