TMW: Milan watch €40m-rated Spain U21 star over international break

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan had scouts present at Spain’s recent U21 fixture against Germany in order to watch Dani Olmo, a report claims.

The Rossoneri are expected to be active in the January transfer window following their poor start to the season, and we recently revealed that up to €40m has been made available for purchases.

One of the players they could choose to target is Dani Olmo, who Milan have been linked with continuously over the last few months.

Back in June, Olmo himself confessed that he is flattered by the links, while his father Miquel also confirmed he did hold discussions with the Rossoneri.

The 21-year-old revealed his frustration at being priced out of a summer exit after the window closed, with Marca (via TribalFootball) claiming that Dinamo have set an asking price of €35-40m.

According to TMW, the Rossoneri are still firmly interested in the idea of signing Olmo and sent scouts to watch him in action for Spain U21 against Germany U21 over the international break.

Juventus were also present at the match between the two teams, which ended in a 1-1 draw as Olmo played 56 minutes.
