TMW: Simakan subbed off in what could be last Strasbourg appearance after strong challenge

By Oliver Fisher -

Mohamed Simakan was substituted during last night’s win for Strasbourg after a challenge which left him with discomfort, a report claims.

We reported via our correspondent Pietro Balzano Prota that discussions are ongoing for Simakan and that the deal could be done at any moment, with the 20-year-old now clearly the priority target for the management as they look to bolster the defensive department.

According to TMW, Simakan was replaced in the 65th minute during Strasbourg’s 5-0 win against Nimes last night following a hard challenge with an opponent, and the Frenchman suffered a minor right knee injury.

The change, however, came as a precaution, as the result for his team was already already in the bag. It seems therefore as if there is nothing to worry about, but it is an indicator that Milan run the risk by failing to close deals promptly.
