GdS: Tonali’s condition to be monitored as Mancini suggests he has a ‘problem’

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s defeat against Napoli may have been costly in more ways than just the result as Sandro Tonali’s condition must be evaluated.

As we reported earlier, left-back Theo Hernandez has sustained an adductor problem and will therefore miss the two matches that France will play against Austria and Denmark in the Nations League (22 and 25 September). Davide Calabria will also require rest over the break due to a muscle issue.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the situation relating to Sandro Tonali must be monitored too. Nothing particular had filtered from the Rossoneri after the defeat against Napoli regarding a potential injury but Italy head coach Roberto Mancini has thrown doubt on things.

At his press conference earlier today he said when asked about Tonali: “I don’t think it’s a big problem.” This certainly suggests that a problem exists, and in Coverciano there checks in progress, but there is no need for alarm just yet.

      1. Yeah, everyone who doesn’t like Tonali is an Interista. Good one. By that logic, Tonali is also an Interista from the way he plays.
