MN: Tonali trained with the Milan group on Tuesday ahead of Atalanta clash

By Euan Burns -

Sandro Tonali trained with the main AC Milan group at Milanello on Tuesday as he looks to be fit in time to face Atalanta, a report claims.

As has been reported by Milan News this evening, the Italian midfielder was back in action on the training pitch after missing the game against Udinese at San Siro on Saturday evening.

He was with the group for the entire afternoon session with the exception being the final match. The risk of aggravating the injury is clearly being thought about.

He came off during the final pre-season friendly of the summer which was against Vicenza on August 6. That led to Rade Krunic taking his place in the midfield for the 4-2 victory against Udinese.

After this recent development, it is expected that he will be fit for the next match away at Atalanta on Sunday. It is not clear if he will come straight into the starting lineup or not.
