Tuttosport: The latest on the condition of Tomori, Kjaer, Pulisic and Leao

By Oliver Fisher -

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport has provided an update on AC Milan’s injured players in view of next weekend’s game against Fiorentina at San Siro.

The paper (via PianetaMilan) starts with the news on Fikayo Tomori, who came off at half-time during England’s win over Malta on Friday evening but did not report any type of physical problem despite taking a knock on the ankle.

Tomori was deployed as a left-back and he was given a yellow card for a tackle which seemed to cause him some pain, but his withdrawal at the interval was Gareth Southgate’s choice rather than a forced alteration.

The player himself reassured everyone on social media, which is a sigh of relief for Milan who will rely on the Englishman as well as Malick Thiaw for the crucial upcoming games after the international break.

Milan carried out their last training session of the week yesterday morning with group work and then a practice match against the Primavera. Simon Kjaer and Christian Pulisic did not take part, as they continued their individual work on the pitch.

Both, however, have overcome their latest problems and will be available again next week. Rafael Leao will be back at Milanello tomorrow and Milan’s plan is to have him back against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League next Tuesday.
