Gigio Donnarumma’s future is yet to be written. The goalkeeper’s contract with AC Milan will expire in 2021, thus leaving the Rossoneri with two options for the summer: renew his contract or sell him.
By the looks of it, the youngster wants to remain at the club. The most welcome hypothesis by everyone is the renewal, but it won’t be easy to find an agreement as the Rossoneri are keen on lowering the wage bill.
According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), there are three scenarios for Milan, linked to the future of Donnarumma. Of course, the first is the renewal, while the second is to buy a replacement on the market.
However, there is also a third scenario. At least for next season, Milan could decide to bet on Pepe Reina and Alessandro Plizzari, two goalkeepers that are already under contract with the club. But first, the renewal talks will have to start.
