Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer are the stars of the AC Milan midfield, but Stefano Pioli will have to use all his resources with a busy schedule coming up.
Tuttosport (via MilanNews) reports this morning that there is no shortage of alternatives in midfield, with Tommaso Pobega and Aster Vranckx very ready to give their contribution after spending the last few weeks getting fully acclimatised.
Pobega has the confidence of Stefano Pioli and also the national team coach Roberto Mancini, while Vranckx on the other hand the played both games for Belgium U21s meaning he is in excellent physical and mental condition.
Then there is Rade Krunic, the wild card that Pioli knows he can use in several roles, and the Bosnian is reliable even in the double pivot. Given just how many games there are between now and the World Cup, having five options for two positions is a luxury.
