Tuttosport: Hauge’s future at Milan yet to be decided – Leao could be sold

By Isak Möller -

Milan are working on both signings and departures ahead of the upcoming season, keen on having the best squad possible for Stefano Pioli. And as a result, they are evaluating the future of several players.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), taking a look at the Rossoneri’s situation, two important players have an uncertain future. They are Jens Petter Hauge and Rafael Leao, both very young and promising.

Hauge’s future is yet to be defined as there will be a meeting between him and Milan in the coming weeks. The parties will discuss the options on the table and will make a decision accordingly, with more information expected soon.

As for Leao, if a good offer arrives this summer, Milan will certainly consider it and the Portuguese forward could leave. In other words, his future is also uncertain but we know that the Rossoneri are open to a sale.

  1. if they wanna buy young players just to get capital gain, just say so from the first time. Maybe they’re upset because 2 high valued players go for free.

  2. Has Hauge even been given a chance to succeed and showcase his talents??? NO. Give this kid a chance. Leao can be brilliant and unstoppable one game and invisible the next. But he is 21? He’s still a kid. He needs time to grow. I’d rather loan (dry) him out than sell now as I fear we will make the same mistake as Locatelli, Cristante, Andre Silva, etc…If Leao doesn’t develop and mature then we can Sell him but I think we need to give him more time. He has all the talent in the world. Similar to Renato Sanches. Too much expected too young. Everyone gave up on kid, now everyone wants him and he’s still only 23. Loan would be best option of either Hauge or Leao but not sell.

    1. Christante is average at best, Locatelli huge mistake. Andre Silva isn’t suited for Serie A. Leo I would sell with buy back option, Hauge definitely deserve chance. Piolli too stubborn maybe something personal but definitely should stay more consistent than Leo.

  3. They are good players, give hauge more time to play and a little patient for leao… they will be key players for Milan like benacer and kesie

  4. If there is no competition players won’t see the need to improve. Leao and hauge don’t have serious competition yet probably. Players you play with matters a lot, hauge is a hard working guy that see the need to improve but leao needs motivation. They are really good lad if pioli builds a more physical term mixed with flair Milan will be unstoppable. From last season if leao meet a team that are not physical he plays well but if we meet team that are physical he plays horeibly. Like against Atlanta first leg, Lille and the rest. So the problem is Milan players needs to build their fitness. Check the last season all the teams lost to won the game second half from 70mins of play. Most of them gas out by 65mins. Why football is a 90min + game. Pioli team is good one thing missing is physicality.

  5. For me, Hauge has to be given more playing time as he is indeed promising & more consistent than Leao..
Or if he have to leave, then dry loan is the least we can do…
Just don’t sell or even loan with option to buy please….. 😟
